I’d like you to meet Sweet Lou.

So, I was out doing a photo shoot for some Gibson ads and my model and friend Lou Barberio was kind enough to escort me over to a little alleyway to take some pictures before AJ, “the boss,” came around. I had been wanting to do some photos by this brick wall in Ravenna for a few months now and I finally achieved the goal. Lou was a nice model to work with, as always. I really like how these came out. The images really captured both his serious side but also the casual, calm, and humorous sides of him.

This was my first true portrait series. I’ve done some small portraits before but never set out with the intentions of doing them. The amazing thing was that these pictures were taken at about noon. I know I shouldn’t be shooting at that time because the lighting will be horrendous to work with but this actually wasn’t too bad. I was really pleased. Hope y’all enjoy what we came up with.

A little shout out here for my two excellent bros: check out their blogs on the right-hand side of my page. Click on Lou Barberio’s stuff and check on AJ Sabino’s work. It’s always a good time.
